PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION POLICY

WHO WE ARE

This policy explains how Futurum Academy (“Futurum”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, discloses and protects personal data in accordance with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). It covers our website (futurumacademy.com), our campuses in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, and the enquiry channels we operate (email, WhatsApp and WeChat).
For visitors and families in Malaysia, we apply the same standards of care described here, alongside applicable Malaysian personal data protection requirements.

Enquiries and trial bookings — your name, contact details (phone number, email or messaging handle) and, where you share them, your child’s first name, age or age band and programme interests, so we can arrange a suitable class.
Job applications — the CV and supporting information you email to hr@futurumsg.com, used solely for recruitment.
Partnership enquiries — the contact and business information you send through our Global Partner channels, used solely to evaluate and respond to the enquiry.
Classroom and event media — photographs and videos taken during lessons and events, as described in the media clause of our Terms and Conditions.
Website analytics — our website uses Google Analytics cookies to understand aggregate visitor behaviour (pages visited, approximate location, device type). Analytics data is not used to identify you personally.

To respond to enquiries, schedule trial classes and administer enrolment, lessons and replacement lessons.
To communicate schedules, closures and programme information to enrolled families.
To evaluate job and partnership applications.
To use classroom and event media for academic, training and marketing purposes, as acknowledged in our Terms and Conditions.
To improve our website and programmes through aggregate analytics.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use children’s personal data for advertising.

We share personal data only with service providers who process it on our behalf (for example, website hosting and analytics providers), with our own campuses, or where disclosure is required by law. Service providers are permitted to use the data only to provide their services to us.
Messages you send us via WhatsApp or WeChat are also subject to those platforms’ own privacy policies.

We retain personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purposes above or as required by law, and we protect it with reasonable security arrangements appropriate to its sensitivity.
Recruitment data for unsuccessful applications is retained only for a reasonable period in case a suitable role opens, unless you ask us to delete it earlier.

You may request access to, or correction of, personal data we hold about you or your child, and you may withdraw consent to our continued use of it (which may affect our ability to provide classes).
Parents or guardians may exercise these rights on behalf of a child. If you would like classroom or event media featuring your child not to be used in our materials, tell us and we will act on the request for future materials.
To make any of these requests, contact our Data Protection Officer using the details below. We will respond as soon as reasonably possible.
