ENROLMENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS

“Futurum” or “the Centre” means Futurum Academy — the entity operating Futurum programmes at the campus where the student is enrolled.

FEES

Registration fees and course fees are payable in advance and are non-refundable, including in the event of a student’s withdrawal.
Fees paid cannot be transferred to another student.
A student who has withdrawn for more than three (3) months and later re-enrols will be enrolled as a new student, at the fees current at that time.
If payment is overdue, the Centre may refuse a student admission to lessons until payment is made, and may impose a reasonable administrative fee on late payments.
All fees, including registration fees, are subject to GST and any other taxes the Singapore government may impose.
Fees are reviewed from time to time. Fee changes apply from the next enrolment or renewal, never retrospectively to lessons already paid for.

A maximum of two (2) replacement lessons every three (3) months may be taken without supporting documents. Beyond that, a medical certificate, travel document or school letter is required with the application.
A replacement lesson must be taken within one (1) week of the missed lesson, by joining an existing class; otherwise it is forfeited.
If a student cannot attend the scheduled replacement lesson, a recorded lesson will be provided instead.
Unused replacement lessons cannot be used to offset holiday programmes or field-trip programmes.
Short-term lesson suspension for travel is permitted; a copy of the flight ticket is required with the application.
Long-term lesson suspension is permitted where a student travels overseas for more than two (2) months. The student’s original lesson slot may no longer be available on return; parents may apply for a new slot.
Course fees are not refunded for missed lessons, missed replacement lessons, or periods of short- or long-term suspension.
The Centre may assign a relief teacher for any regular or replacement lesson.

If the Centre must close due to an infectious-disease outbreak (such as SARS, HFMD or COVID) or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control, course fees are not refundable; the Centre will arrange replacement lessons instead.
Lessons run as usual on gazetted public holidays unless the Centre advises otherwise.

The Centre may transfer, combine or dissolve a class where enrolment numbers or scheduling require it.
The Centre may adjust a lesson’s duration, or cancel it, if only one student is enrolled in that lesson.
The Centre may change the assigned teacher at short notice where circumstances require it.
Students who arrive more than fifteen (15) minutes late may not be admitted to that lesson.

Unless otherwise stated, Futurum owns all intellectual property and licensing rights in the materials distributed or used in its programmes, workshops and seminars. Learning materials may not be copied, reproduced, modified, distributed, performed or transmitted in any way without Futurum’s prior written consent.
Lessons and activities at the Centre may be photographed or video-recorded. The parent or guardian grants Futurum permission to use materials in which the student appears for academic, training and marketing purposes, and acknowledges that Futurum owns those works. Requests to withdraw this permission for future materials are handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

Futurum collects, uses and protects personal data in accordance with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012. How we do so — and how to make an access, correction or withdrawal request — is set out in our Privacy Policy, available on this website.

Futurum is not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including acts of God, armed conflict, labour unrest, fire, flood, or other force-majeure events.
Futurum takes reasonable measures and precautions to ensure the safety of its students. Students, parents and accompanying persons remain responsible for the security and safety of their own personal property while on Centre premises, during lessons or on field trips.
All medical, allergy, nutritional and other special needs (physical, mental or emotional) of the student remain the responsibility of the parents. Parents must inform the Centre of any condition relevant to the student’s safe participation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Futurum is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of or damage to personal property. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Singapore law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
For enrolments at our Kuala Lumpur campus, nothing in these terms limits any rights that cannot be excluded under the laws of Malaysia.
